The Man in the High Castle Book Covers

Creative Circus Project

Three different book cover designs, each exploring a different theme in the novel.

Army Men

The book explores the concept of if it is possible to go against fate. I showed this visually using the army men, with the one at the bottom attempting to break through.

Origami

The book also explores the concept of disguise. This cover explores that because the paper crane is nothing more than paper disguised as a crane. It also references the Japanese themes in the novel.

Lenticular

The last concept I explored was that of victory and defeat. This cover shows a version of America winning and losing WWII. The entanglement of those images emphasizes the thin line that separated those possibilities.
